OK here we are in Europe!!! Sestra Call is aaaaliiive! This is crazy :)
I've said it before and I will say it again that God knows me inside and out and understands where my comfort zone is and where it is not, haha. AAAAaaand a lot of things have put me outside my comfort zone the past two weeks :) And that's exactly where I want and am suppose to be.
Uncomfy moments!!
1) I felt like a hoity-toity farm girl in her overalls and southern drawl the first few days here, haha. (Not literally of course, metaphorical) Everyone in Europe dresses so nice, and they just have this air about them that's so put-together and independent and it felt like no one was smiling and the architecture was so awesome and intense. BUT I've quickly discovered that everyone is a human being and has their struggles and joys no matter how put together they may seem. And everyone can use more joy in their lives :)
2) I've been trying to talk to people in Czech!! Haha, what an adventure. I can't speak Czech that well but I'm TRYING!! And it's actually so much fun and so scary!! Sometimes I have this conversation with God in my heart. Here's the setting:
Sestra Call sits on a tram and there is a lady sitting across from her.
She feels the Spirit whisper, "hey. Talk to her."
Her mind starts weeping, "I'm frightened and I can't speak Czech and she's looking at her phone"
Sestra Call challenges God and herself and says, "ok, if I'm suppose to talk to this person, Heavenly Father, make them stay after this next stop.
Of course they stay so then Sestra Call finally manages a, "dobrý den" (hello, in Czech :) )
And that's about how it goes every single day haha. It's wonderful and I feel like I improve a teensy bit each day.
I'm learning so many things and have met so many amazing people. The members of the church here are patient and kind and loving and will listen to my broken Czech all day. I love them already :) and I love the friends of ours that we're teaching!! They bring me so much joy. Especially watching their faith grow.
I'm so grateful to be here, I know God puts us where we're suppose to be as we trust in Him and move forward with faith💛🤗

Famous Czech dish, svičkova(I think that's how you spell it?....I don't have enough time to google it...) Mom here, googled it, yes it's spelled right and it is Beef in Sour Cream Sauce served often in Winter Months. That is her floral dress you see. We love our Sestra Call!
