Week 17 WotW = Connection

Aloha and a great big ahoj to each and every one of you :)

Connection Moments
1) we were in quarantine for three days this week as a Covid precaution and hmmm, very interesting πŸ˜‚ I appreciated the taste of what so many missionaries went through for months and I respect and love them for it. It was a struggle to keep myself in a focused and hard working mindset and figure out as many ways as I can to find people to teach through technology. There was a lot of help from Heaven and I was still a very imperfect quarantined missionary. :)
2) THIS WAS SO SPECIAL TO ME. Sister Kim and I were walking in our assigned area of members trying to meet more people and give out cookies. One member of our church that we've been trying to meet for awhile was sitting in his car outside his house. We walked up and started talking and it was really nice. Near the end of our conversation, he paused for a moment and said, "missionaries always used to come around. They don't come anymore. I missed you guys. Thank you so much for stopping it was an answer to my prayer". I promise that I had no idea it would mean anything to this man. I promise I walked up to that car thinking we'd have a nice chat and hoping he didn't ignore us. I know that God accomplishes His perfect work through His imperfect children who just do their best. I feel privileged that I get to be a part of it each day.
3) on Wednesday, I felt far from God, it felt like I was going through the motions a lot and sort of numb even though I was doing what was right. Everything seemed to annoy me, every tiny thing and I couldn't even give a reason to myself why I was upset. But, I knew it was because I wasn't asking God to be an active part of my day. I took some time by myself to reconnect with Heaven and as I did that everything else fell away. All the little things disappeared and I was reminded that I have a Heavenly Father loves me. Please ask Him for His love if you ever don't feel it :)
This was such a great week filled with learning and so many precious moments of joy. I'm feeling pretty sentimental with the fact that transfer news is tomorrow and big changes are ahead. I know that no matter how much the weather, scenery, language, work changes, my purpose doesn't change and I always have Jesus Christ's name on my tag, close to my heart.
Find moments of joy in every day this week :) πŸ˜€πŸ˜ƒπŸ™‚πŸ™ƒπŸ˜ŠπŸ€ (favorite emoji)
Love, Sister Call
Yesterday was SISTER KIM'S BIRTHDAY!! I love her to the moon and back. So glad she was born.

I disarmed the security system in the visitors center for the first time ooooOOoo.

The beginning of our apartment cleaning party, found candy on the messy table!

Biggest cockroach I've ever seen but apparently the norm here. We caught him once, he escaped and we caught him AGAIN haha!

Spooky season coming to get Sister Kaufusi :)

Sister GC, silly goose, she thinks I'm so weird πŸ€ͺ

I exchanged companions with one of the Sister Training Leaders, Sister Yamauchi, she is amazing, so hard working and bold and it was an absolutely fantastic and packed day of miracles.
